Tinton Falls, NJ, February 10, 2011. IntegraSolv Corp., leader in development of industrial strength, low maintenance monitoring solutions for real-time networked enterprises, today announced general availability of an Owl Fusion. The Owl Fusion complements IntegraSolv’s flagship product – Owl Service Op-Center™ (Owl™) – by enabling a consolidated view of multiple Owl systems.
Owl provides application support teams and IT management with a business focused, holistic view of the health and performance of the application services networks, of the business processes that those applications support, and of the relevant IT infrastructure. At the heart of Owl is a real-time model of business processes, and their dependencies on application architecture and IT infrastructure. The model is kept “live” by real-time analysis of incoming enterprise telemetry. The key Owl capabilities include auto-discovery of applications and related information, zero administration, business impact evaluation, visual root cause analysis, and historical analysis.
The need for Owl Fusion arises when multiple Owl servers are involved in monitoring. For example, a global order routing application in an investment bank may be monitored by local Owl servers in North America, Europe, and Asia. The user of Owl would like to monitor not just individual components but the end-to-end global order management. Owl Fusion allows them to do just that by “fusing” the order routing related information and current status that comes from multiple Owl’s.
“The Owl Fusion was developed based on the need of larger Owl customers to see the status of their global business processes on one screen.” says Arthur Frankstein, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for IntegraSolv.
The key features of the new product include
- Fusion of Owl Groups – the Owl Fusion merges the entities from the groups defined in individual Owl servers;
- Global Status – the group status is derived based on the status of individual groups in each of the Owl servers;
- Drill down – the user can drill down in the entity and then into the Owl’s Entity Status display to see historical and other detailed information about the entities and metrics;
- Zero administration – the Owl Fusion does not require administration other then the list of Owl servers that it needs to work with. Everything else happens automatically.
Owl Fusion has been released to early adopter customers mid-year.
